DAY 1

Arrival in Paris

Bienvenue à Paris, the City of Lights! Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up from the airport by your private chauffeur and transferred to your boutique hotel. You’ll be welcomed by a member of Paris-Toujours agency to receive all vouchers and schedule to make your trip go smoothly. Once settled-in, take time to stroll by your hotels neighborhood and get slowly into the French way of living by sitting at a café and eating some nice pastries.

DAY 2

Paris introduction and great views

After a French breakfast meet your local guide for an introduction walking tour of the Latin Quarter. With your private guide explore the Latin district in the 5th arrondissement of Paris very famous for its charming old streets and traditional French bistrots and markets. This area of Paris is named after the Sorbonne University where the teaching language used to be Latin. It is well known for its student life as it has been the university district since the Middle Ages with a lively atmosphere. Like a Parisian, walk through the local markets and busy cobbled streets in the heart of Paris. Your guide will then take you to the Sainte Chapelle and its flamboyant stained glasses. The Sainte-Chapelle chapel is a jewel of Gothic art. It was built in the 12th century, upon the order of King Saint-Louis. The upper chapel of the monument is covered in 600 m² of stained-glass windows, of which two thirds are authentic.

Enjoy some down time before reaching the feet of the Eiffel Tower for a self-guided visit with skip-the-line access. Take the lift to the summit to discover the city of lights from a different angle with a breathtaking view.

DAY 3

Art & Masterpieces

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel for a private visit of Le Louvre museum. Explore the rooms and travel back in time with your guide who will give you many historical and fun facts along the way.

After lunch, your guide will take you on a private walking tour in the most artistic area of Paris: Montmartre. Walk through picturesque streets that gives Montmartre its special village atmosphere and why not enjoy a glass of wine at a café to feel the Montmartrois ambiance at the end of your guided tour.

DAY 4

Versailles castle & luxury dinner cruise

After breakfast, your driver & guide will pick you up for a private tour to Versailles castle. Visit the King’s Grand Apartments, the sparkling Hall of Mirrors and finally, the French Gardens. Stroll through the Jardins à la Française surrounded by fountains and groves either by foot, bike or even horse back for an incredible experience that our agency can arrange for you. You can also rent a small boat on the canal.

To finish this spectacular day, embark on the luxurious Seine Yacht for a memorable evening. On board, the cuisine of the Chef, awarded Best Artisan in France, provides you with a magnificent gourmet experience while you discover the enlightened monuments of Paris from the Seine River.

DAY 5

Typical French baking class and Opéra Garnier visit

This morning you’ll step behind the counter of a Parisian boulangerie and discover how to bake traditional French bread and viennoiseries like croissants and pains au chocolat but also master sourdough. At the end of the class you’ll even be able to leave with your own baguette.

After lunch, your guide will pick you up and take you to the famous Opéra Garnier. Get a closer look at the ‘Grand Escalier’ (the main staircase), the glittering Foyer and the main room with its Chagall ceiling. Famous painters like Degas use to come to L’Opéra Garnier to paint ballerinas rehearsing.

DAY 6

Train to Colmar

After breakfast, your private chauffeur will take you to the train station from where you’ll take the high-speed train to Colmar in 1st class (approx. 2H30 journey). Along the way you’ll be amazed by the French countryside! Once settled in your charming hotel take time to discover on your own the lovely medieval town of Colmar with half-timbered houses and peaceful canals. Christmas time is also a great moment to come as you’ll be able to discover the beautiful Christmas markets. Have fun getting lost through the cobblestone lanes of the Old Town and the painted houses in Little Venice.

DAY 7

Villages of Alsace private day tour

Depart with your private guide for the most beautiful village of Alsace region. Start with Eguisheim, surrounded by vineyards, the narrow and concentric streets highlight the architectural merits of its half-timbered houses, lovingly decorated with flowers. After a walk in the village your tour then continues to the beautiful town of Riquewihr surrounded by ramparts. Free time for lunch with many lovely suggestions. After lunch reach Haut Koenigsbourg castle, for a tour of this 12th century fortress that overlooks the valley and your guide will transfer you back to hotel.

DAY 8

Alsace Grands Crus wine tour

The Grand Crus of Alsace was created in 1975 and features 51 classified areas defined according to strict geological and climatic criteria. Only 4 grape varieties can be used to produce Alsace Grands Crus wines: Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat (Alsace variety). Discover on this private tour with your guide these unique Grands Crus wines during an exceptional day including tastings of 3 Grand Crus producing wineries. To end the day, your guide will surprise you in the middle of the vineyards with a great view and delicious regional produces.

After your day tour, take the train back to Paris and spend your last evening in a 4* hotel at CDG airport ready to take your flight back home the following day.
