Day 1

Arrival day

On arrival at the airport welcome and transfer to your boutique hotel in the center of Paris. Free time to relax and wander in the lively streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés around your hotel.

Day 2

Introduction to Paris

After breakfast, meet your private guide for an introduction of Paris with a walking tour on the Islands (Ile de la Cité and Ile Saint-Louis). Your guide will introduce Paris’ history while walking in front of many famous monuments. You will start with the Ile de La Cité where the Sainte-Chapelle was built to protect the relics of the Christ. You will also be able to enter in the gothic jewel, Notre-Dame Cathedral, dated from the 12th century. If you feel courageous enough, you can also climb the 400 stairs of Notre-Dame Towers and admire the beautiful view over Paris from the top. You will then continue to the Ile Saint Louis, where the French aristocracy used to live in private mansions.

Day 3

Skip-the-line access to the Eiffel Tower

After breakfast, reach the Eiffel Tower and go up to the top floor with a skip-the-line access. On top of having a breathtaking view over Paris, you will also see Gustave Eiffel’s office. Take your time to explore all floors of the Iron Lady built in 1889 for the World Exhibition ‘Exposition Universelle’. Free time in the afternoon to stroll around the tower to the Invalides and the Army Museum or the Arc de Triomphe.

Day 4

Private guided tour of Le Louvre

In the morning, your private guide will pick you up to discover the most famous museum of Paris: Le Louvre. Your guide will of course show you the three great ladies — the Venus de Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, and Mona Lisa. But you will also be able to admire other masterpiece, famous or not according to your wishes.

Day 5

Cheese tasting with wine pairing

In the afternoon, Pierre the cheese master will be expecting you in the 10th arrondissement in a beautiful 17th century vaulted cellar – this is one of the last maturation cellars still existing in Paris. You will learn about the Cheese maturation process and finish your experience with a cheese tasting paired with French wines.

Day 6

Journey to Bordeaux

During the day, you will be picked-up at your hotel and transferred to Montparnasse train station. You will take the high-speed train to Bordeaux where a driver will transfer you to your hotel or B&B located in the city center of Bordeaux. Free time to wander in Bordeaux.

Day 7

Wine tasting and wine estate visit in Saint-Emilion

After breakfast you will be picked up by your professional wine guide for a private wine tour in Saint-Emilion. During the day you will discover this charming medieval village famous for its impressive collection of historical sites and monuments such as the monolithic church. You will then visit famous Chateaux or family-owned wine estates to understand how they make wines and to learn the specificities of these red wines. Several wine tastings will be included.

Day 8

Medoc vineyards

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel for a wine tour in the Médoc area. The Médoc was confirmed as the reference for high-end red wine and brings together such famous designations as Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac and Saint Estèphe. Moreover, with its legendary castles; Château Lafitte Rothschild, Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Margaux. The Medoc’s reputation is international. Your private guide will take you to visit different chateaux in the area as well as wine tastings.

In the afternoon, you will board for a cruise discovering the vineyards and the cultural heritage of the right side of Gironde Estuary. A tasting of food and wine is followed by an underground tour of the Vauban fortress in Blaye. Then travel by coach along the picturesque riverbank to Bourg, a one-of-a-kind village overlooking the Dordogne River. On the way back you will stop to visit a winegrowing estate.

Day 9

Welcome to Arcachon

In the morning you will be transferred to your hotel in Arcachon. Arcachon is a seaside resort located on the Atlantic Ocean. Free afternoon to climb on the Dune du Pilat which is the highest sand dune in Europe!

Day 10

Relaxing cruise on the Ocean

After breakfast, you’ll go on a relaxing cruise towards the Ile aux Oiseaux & Cap Ferret. You will discover numerous species of birds and oyster farms. You could then get off the boat and have a romantic lunch at le Cap Ferret to taste Oysters with a glass of white wine admiring the fabulous view over the Ocean.

Day 11

Free time in Arcachon

Free day at your leisure. Take time to stroll in Arcachon and to have a bike ride along the coast. At the end of the afternoon you will be picked up by your chauffeur and transferred to the train station. Train departure to Paris and last night at a hotel in CDG airport.

Back to the US
