Take advantage of this private day tour to discover in detail those two cities full of history.

You will love :

Detailed program
DAY 1 :

Your private driver will pick you up at your place of residence at 8am and drives you to Versailles with your personal expert guide. During the journey you will have time to listen to the first explanations of your guide about Versailles. You will discover the majesty of this palace, home residence of three kings of France, Louis XIV (the Sun King), Louis XV and Louis XVI. Your personal guide will lead you through the castle main rooms (there are 700 rooms in the all palace) sharing with you History details and fun stories about the royal court. Once in Versailles your guide will take you via a skip-the-line entrance directly to the King's apartments with its 7 living-rooms. Then, you will visit the famous Hall of Mirrors, a room that was made to impress Louis XIV guests with its marble, its gilding and its imposing mirrors. After the visit of the palace you will have time to walk in the gardens of the château, discover its fountains, pools, flowerbeds and trees.

Meet your driver and depart to St Germain en Laye where the Sun King was born. You will lunch in front of the majestic castle overlooking the countryside. After lunch, your guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the town where you will be immersed in the 17th and 18th centuries surrounded by decorated facades of private mansions. You will also enjoy a lively small town atmosphere. Up on a hill, near a forest and far from Parisian intrigues, the palace of Saint-Germain-en-Laye was the ideal royal residence for summer days. Birthplace of the Sun King, however, he preferred another city of Western Paris region to reign: Versailles. Eclipsed by its neighbor, Saint-Germain-en-Laye staid a charming town and an aristocratic place. And much less crowded than Versailles, it is a nice complement to a lovely royal day tour. Return to Paris.

Arrival scheduled for around 4 pm.
