DAY 1 :
arrival and lunch in the Quartier Latin with a guided tour following the steps of the American writers of the lost generation, like Hemingway, and of their publishers as well as those of the existentialist writers Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir in St Germain des Prés. Free evening
DAY 2 :
in the morning, tour of Balzac’s home in the 16th district, where he tried to escape his creditors and where you can see his desk and the famous coffee pot which made it possible for him to write day and night. Lunch in a very Parisian restaurant of this area and afternoon on your own to spend some time in the very commercial area of Passy near the Eiffel Tower. Literary evening with poetry reading or a play in a theatre depending on what is offered at that time.
DAY 3 :
In the morning, private guided tour in the Marais with visit of Victor Hugo’s home in the Hotel Rohan-Guéménée on the Place des Vosges to discover how he lived and what were his relationships with Adèle, Juliette and Léopoldine as well as his political involvement while he was writing. Lunch near the Village Saint Paul and afternoon tour of the Musée des Lettres et Manuscrits where you will be able to read texts from writers and poets like Charles Baudelaire on the original manuscripts. Free evening.
DAY 4 :
Optional visit of Chateaubriand's House, located in the countryside outskirts of Paris - Departure
Discovery tour of a typical Parisian theatre (depending on what can be offered at the time)
from April to September tour of Chateaubriand’s house and of the Arboretum near the beautiful “parc de la vallée aux loups” south of Paris, return transportation in a private car and entrance to the museum
